Shifts: Monday–Friday Days + 1 week in 3 on-call, including weekends

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established heavy manufacturing business based in Worksop.

This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically biased engineer looking to join a stable, growing manufacturing environment where you will play a key role in maintaining and improving a range of heavy industrial machinery and production equipment.

The Role

Working as part of the engineering and maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring plant and machinery remains operational, safe and reliable through effective planned and reactive maintenance.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Electrical fault finding and diagnostics on industrial machinery
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Responding to breakdowns and minimising production downtime
  • Repairing and maintaining electrical control systems
  • Working with motors, sensors, drives and control panels
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Supporting installation and improvement projects
  • Completing maintenance records and documentation
  • Working closely with production teams to resolve equipment issues
  • Ensuring all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with company procedures
  • Participating in an on-call rota 1 week in 3, including weekends

The Candidate

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer who has a strong background within a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.

You will ideally have:

  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Previous experience working within manufacturing
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Experience maintaining industrial machinery and production equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
  • Experience with motors, sensors, drives and control systems
  • A proactive approach to maintenance and problem solving
  • The ability to work independently and as part of an engineering team
  • Willingness to participate in the 1-in-3 on-call rota
