Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Barnsley, South Yorkshire
Salary: £48,300 per annum
Shifts: 3 Shift Pattern (Days, Afters & Nights)
Job Type: Permanent
Questech Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a rapidly expanding manufacturing business based in Barnsley.
The Role:

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on manufacturing machinery.

Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime.

PLC fault finding and troubleshooting.

Support installation work, engineering projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety procedures.

Work closely with production teams to maintain efficient plant operations.
The Person:
-
NVQ Level 3 qualified in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, ideally apprentice trained.

Previous electrical maintenance experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

Experience with PLC fault finding.

Proactive approach to maintenance with strong problem-solving skills.
Salary & Working Hours:

Salary: £48,300 per annum

Shifts: Monday to Friday rotating 3-shift pattern:
-
Mornings: 6am – 2pm
-
Afternoons: 2pm – 10pm

Nights: 10pm – 6am

Day shifts at weekends every 4th cycle.
