An established Principal Contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Project Manager to deliver complex construction projects across London, with a particular focus on Data Centres and Critical Facilities.

The Role
You'll take full ownership of projects from estimating handover through to final completion, ensuring safe, commercially successful and on-time delivery. Working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams, you'll lead projects through design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full project lifecycle from pre-construction through to completion.
- Lead project teams, including Assistant Project Managers, Site Managers and subcontractors.
- Oversee programme delivery, procurement, commercial performance and project governance.
- Chair project meetings and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
- Drive project performance, managing risks, variations, cost control and programme milestones.
- Coordinate design reviews, technical submissions and commissioning activities.
- Ensure the highest standards of Health & Safety, Quality and Compliance across all projects.
- Support procurement strategies and work closely with commercial teams to protect project margins.
- Deliver successful project handovers, including QA documentation, O&M manuals and client sign-off.
We're looking for someone with:
- Significant experience as a Project Manager within construction or engineering.
- Previous Data Centre or Critical Facilities project experience (essential).
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing multidisciplinary project teams.
- Excellent commercial awareness and programme management capability.
- Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Sound knowledge of CDM Regulations and construction best practice.
- Electrical qualifications
- SMSTS
- CSCS Managers Card
- NVQ Level 6 Construction Site Management (or equivalent)
- Experience delivering Data Centre or Critical Facilities projects
- Mechanical knowledge
- Experience working for a Principal Contractor
- Salary up to £85,000 DOE
