We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Supervisor to join a leading regional contractor delivering a range of new schemes for Severn Trent Water (STW).

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join a growing delivery team and work across a variety of water and wastewater projects. The role will suit someone who enjoys a hands-on supervisory position, working closely with site teams and project management to ensure electrical works are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme.

The Role

As Electrical Supervisor, you will oversee electrical works across various new STW schemes, providing hands-on supervision and technical support to site teams.

You will work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, subcontractors and other site disciplines to coordinate activities, resolve issues and ensure works are delivered to the required standards.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising electrical installation works, including cable installation, containment and associated electrical works.
  • Providing hands-on leadership and technical support to site teams.
  • Coordinating electrical activities with other trades and site disciplines.
  • Ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project requirements.
  • Monitoring progress against programme and identifying potential delays.
  • Reading and working from electrical drawings, specifications and project documentation.
  • Identifying site issues and implementing practical solutions to maintain progress.
  • Ensuring installations meet required quality standards and specifications.
  • Completing relevant site paperwork, permits, inspections, records and documentation.
  • Supporting testing, commissioning and handover activities where required.
  • Maintaining clear communication with the wider project management and engineering teams.
  • Ensuring all works comply with relevant health, safety and environmental requirements.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor with a strong background in electrical installation and site supervision.

Experience within the water, wastewater, utilities or wider infrastructure sectors would be highly advantageous.

You will need:

  • Proven experience supervising electrical installation works on construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of electrical installation practices, including cable installation and containment.
  • Ability to lead and motivate site teams while maintaining a hands-on approach.
  • Good understanding of electrical drawings, specifications and installation requirements.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • A proactive and practical approach to problem solving.
  • Good understanding of health, safety and quality requirements.
  • Ability to manage site documentation and work effectively to project programmes.
  • Relevant electrical qualifications and demonstrable supervisory experience.
  • Previous experience working on water or wastewater projects would be advantageous.
