Role & Responsibilities:
To manage a team of Multiskilled Engineers on a shift rotation - ensuring they maintain continuous production and improve efficiencies safely through effectively implementing preventative maintenance schedules and responding in a timely manner to breakdown repairs. Ensure continuous improvement methodologies are applied that improves the operational function.
- Lead and support a team of engineers in delivering both planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown support across a range of production equipment.
- Drive equipment reliability and performance by identifying opportunities to improve processes and maintenance practices.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in line with company health & safety procedures and industry best practices.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation using relevant systems.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects, helping to enhance operational efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve overall site performance.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in a Maintenance Supervisor, Team Leader, or Senior Engineer position within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong fault-finding and maintenance skills across both mechanical and electrical systems.
- Relevant engineering qualifications, such as an HNC/HND, NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship, or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop an engineering team in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, continuous improvement, and equipment reliability.
- Strong understanding of health & safety requirements and engineering best practices.
