Meridian Business Support are recruiting on behalf of a successful technology manufacturing business in the Tattenhall area for an Electronics Assembly Operative. As an Electronics Assembly Operative, you will help manufacture specialist products used within industrial environments, following detailed instructions and quality procedures.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Building and assembling electronic sensors and components
  • Soldering wires and attaching cables to products
  • Using adhesives and specialist equipment during the manufacturing process
  • Carrying out assembly, testing and inspection activities to quality standards
  • Reading and following technical drawings and work instructions
  • Deploying software and completing functional product testing
  • Recording faults and production information using internal computer systems
  • Using hand tools safely and accurately
  • Maintaining excellent housekeeping and health and safety standards
  • Supporting continuous improvement activities within the manufacturing team

Initially, training will focus on building sensors for the high-voltage industry, including soldering, wiring, bonding components, curing products in specialist ovens and final labelling before testing and inspection.

Working Hours: This Electronics Assembly Operative role operates on a two-week rota:
Week 1
  • Monday to Thursday: 7:30am to 4:30pm
  • Friday: 7:30am to 12:30pm
Week 2
  • Monday to Thursday: 7:30am to 5:00pm
  • Friday: Off
This means you'll enjoy a three-day weekend every other week.

To be successful as an Electronics Assembly Operative, you will ideally have:
  • Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Basic IT literacy and confidence using computer systems
  • Experience using hand tools
  • A reliable, hardworking and respectful approach
  • A genuine willingness to learn new skills and be part of a close-knit team
  • Own transport due to the location

Previous experience in manufacturing, production, soldering, cable assembly, wiring, electronics, engineering, quality inspection, assembly technician or test technician roles would be beneficial but is not essential. Full training will be provided.
