Monday to Friday, 9:00am–4:30pm | 35 hours per week

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, people-focused organisation seeking an Employer Engagement Officer to help unemployed adults overcome barriers, connect with employers and secure sustainable employment.

The client’s identity will be shared with suitable applicants during the recruitment process.

What you’ll be doing You will be the vital link between participants, employers and internal delivery teams. Using your recruitment and relationship-management experience, you will identify opportunities, prepare participants for employment and help them succeed once they are in work.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing relationships with employers and identifying suitable vacancies.

  • Matching participants with opportunities that reflect their skills and goals.

  • Supporting referrals, onboarding and progression through the programme.

  • Maintaining regular contact with participants to encourage engagement.

  • Arranging employer interviews, workshops and training sessions.

  • Working closely with internal teams to remove barriers and achieve positive outcomes.

  • Supporting participants after they enter employment, helping them remain and progress in work.

  • Maintaining accurate records and collecting evidence of employment outcomes.

  • Working towards achievable participant and employment targets.

What we’re looking for You will be proactive, personable and commercially aware, with the confidence to engage both employers and participants. You will enjoy networking, developing new relationships and seeing people succeed.

You will need:

  • Previous recruitment experience.

  • Experience supporting or working with unemployed adults.

  • Experience in a target-driven commercial environment.

  • Strong client and stakeholder relationship-management skills.

  • Confidence with networking, cold calling and employer engagement.

  • Strong communication, presentation and report-writing skills.

  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

Welsh-language skills would be advantageous but are not essential.
