Endoscopy Decontamination Technician – Weekend

Belmont Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Endoscopy Decontamination Technician to join a centralised decontamination unit in Enfield, providing essential weekend cover.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive used endoscopes transported from the hospital via the in-house logistics service.
• Carry out the full decontamination and reprocessing cycle in line with departmental procedures and infection prevention standards.
• Operate specialist decontamination equipment, including:
  • Getinge ED-Flow Washer Disinfector
  • Getinge Drying Cabinets
  • Getinge Vac-A-Scope Packing System
• Inspect, process, dry, pack and prepare endoscopes for safe return to the hospital.
• Ensure all equipment is handled safely and correctly throughout the decontamination process.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records in accordance with required procedures.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience working within an Endoscopy Decontamination Department is essential.
• Practical experience of endoscope decontamination and reprocessing.
