This role will help us to do this by making informed decisions about the investment and maintenance of our homes by providing an accurate picture of the condition of our housing stock and property assets. In this role, you will be responsible for

  • Capture accurate property data to support compliance with Decent Homes, HHSRS and the Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act 2018.
  • Update, maintain and interpret information held within our asset management systems.
  • Carry out Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) when required, using dedicated EPC software.
  • Undertake Retrofit Assessments to identify potential improvements required to our homes.
  • Support the Planned Surveyors' team with the management and delivery of major works programmes.

We need people who are/have

  • Experience working in a stock condition, building surveying, asset management or similar property role, ideally within social or residential housing.
  • Good technical knowledge of buildings, property components and their condition, with the ability to identify repairs and future investment requirements.
  • Good understanding of Decent Homes, HHSRS and the Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act 2018.
  • Experience of accurately collecting, recording and interpreting property/asset data, including using asset management systems such as PIMSS, Promaster, Keystone or similar.
  • Strong IT and data management skills, with confidence using systems, spreadsheets and tablet-based technology while carrying out surveys.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to residents, colleagues and contractors.
  • A full valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

A Building Studies ONC / HNC (or equivalent) is advantageous as is a Level 4 Award in Domestic Retrofit Assessment.

Everyone’s welcome here. Our culture is inclusive, and we are committed to increasing diversity. We enable everyone to be themselves at work, so that they feel at home with us. And we trust and support people to do their best, in a role that is fulfilling and rewarding because we know that this helps us to deliver better outcomes for our customers and our colleagues.

If you want to be part of our team and help us make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
