Then get in touch out! Kingston Barnes is recruiting an Engineering Manager for one of our clients in the South Devon area. Our client is a market leader in their field and has continued to grow as a business since their creation over 60 years ago.

The role:

As a key member of the Site Leadership Team, you’ll be responsible for shaping and delivering the engineering strategy, leading a high-performing Engineering Team and driving improvements across people, plant and processes.

The site is undergoing an exciting period of expansion, with increased production and new product development. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact, leading engineering improvements and supporting the continued growth and development of the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, inspire and develop the Engineering Team, building a culture of engagement, empowerment and high performance.
  • Ensure health and safety remains a top priority.
  • Develop and deliver the site’s engineering strategy in line with wider business objectives.
  • Drive the development of people through apprenticeships, training and personal development plans.
  • Lead capital investment projects and manage engineering budgets to improve manufacturing capability and performance.
  • Optimise service contracts and operational costs.
  • Work closely with the Site Leadership Team and Group Engineering Team to deliver best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Support the development of people, plant and processes across the site.

The Candidate:

We’re looking for an experienced engineering leader with a strong manufacturing background, proven commercial awareness and the ability to deliver large-scale improvements. You’ll need to be confident leading teams, managing budgets and delivering projects, with a solid understanding of Lean, reliability, safety and environmental standards. You will hold relevant engineering qualifications.
