Life Jacket Education Agency is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Leeds from January 1st. This is a full-time position running until the Easter break, with the potential for extension for the right candidate.

About the Role:
As the English Teacher, you will deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across KS3 and KS4. You will inspire a love of language and literature, support pupils of varying abilities, and contribute to the department’s collaborative and positive culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons

• Assess, track, and report on pupil progress

• Create an inclusive and motivating learning environment

• Contribute to departmental planning and wider school life

• Maintain excellent classroom management and safeguarding standards

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• Strong subject knowledge in English

• Experience teaching in UK secondary schools

• A proactive, positive, and committed approach

• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
