English Teacher

Monarch Education are currently supporting a welcoming secondary school in Kingstanding who are seeking to appoint a motivated and passionate English Teacher for a full-time position starting in September.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging and high-quality English Language and Literature lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop strong reading, writing and analytical skills while fostering confidence and a genuine appreciation for the subject.

You will join a collaborative and well-supported department where high expectations, student achievement and professional development are a key focus.

• Deliver English Language and Literature lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that challenge and inspire learners
• Support students in developing reading, writing and communication skills
• Prepare pupils for assessments and GCSE examinations
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of students of varying abilities
• Track progress and provide constructive feedback to support attainment
• Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and learning
• Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development
• Create an inclusive and positive learning environment
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to drive student outcomes

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching English within a secondary school setting
• Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 English curriculum
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• Strong communication and organisational abilities
• A proactive, professional and reliable approach
• A genuine passion for education and student achievement
