Rotherwood Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join a well-established and supportive secondary school in the Rossendale area. This full-time role is due to start ASAP and will be ongoing Maternity Cover,  offering a fantastic  opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a thriving educational  setting.

Job Title: English Teacher

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Full-time, Maternity cover

Daily Rate: £168 – £215 per day

About the English Teacher role:

• Deliver engaging and inspiring English lessons in line with the national  curriculum
• Plan and prepare high-quality lessons tailored to a range of learning  abilities
• Encourage a love for reading, writing and effective communication
• Monitor and support student progress through meaningful assessment  and feedback
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive  learning environment
• Contribute to the wider life of the school and departmental initiatives

The ideal English Teacher will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching  qualification
• Have strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature (KS3 & KS4)
• Be confident in planning and delivering creative and inclusive lessons
• Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Be committed to inspiring young people and improving outcomes for all  learners
• Adhere to safeguarding policies and promote student wellbeing
