English Teacher (KS2–KS4) – SEND School

Location: Stockport (SK12 area)
Start Date: 1st September 2026
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm

Salary: M1 £32,916 – M6 £45,350 + SEN Allowance £2786 

SEND Inclusion Support is recruiting on behalf of one of our partner schools in Stockport for a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join their team from 1st September 2026.

Due to increasing class sizes, our partner school is looking to appoint an enthusiastic teacher who can deliver engaging English lessons to pupils across Key Stage 2 through to Key Stage 4. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference within a specialist SEND setting, supporting children and young people with a range of additional learning needs.

The Role

As an English Teacher, you will:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons that engage, challenge, and inspire pupils.

  • Foster a positive learning environment that supports both educational achievement and personal development.

  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and tailored support.

  • Support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, and a range of additional learning needs to achieve their full potential.

  • Create a structured, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, external professionals, and the wider school community to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.

  • Contribute to curriculum development and the wider life of the school.

  • Maintain high expectations for both academic achievement and personal growth.

  • Participate in school activities, enrichment opportunities, and ongoing professional development.

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Experience teaching English across KS2 to KS4.

  • Experience working with children and young people with ASC and a range of Special Educational Needs.

  • A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies.

  • Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire learners.

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A commitment to continuous professional development and innovative teaching practices.

  • Resilience, adaptability, and a passion for achieving the very best outcomes for every pupil.

  • A genuine commitment to inclusion, compassion, and high aspirations for all learners.

A qualification in SEND education is desirable but not essential.
