Contract: Full-time, permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 4:30pm
We are recruiting for an experienced Essential Skills Tutor to join an established training and education organisation, supporting apprenticeship learners across North Wales.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive support to learners throughout their apprenticeship programmes, helping them develop the skills and knowledge required to succeed. You will be responsible for delivering training and assessment against the requirements of the relevant awarding body for Essential Skills Wales, covering Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Literacy.
This is a home-based role, with travel required across the North Wales region to support and assess learners in their workplaces.
Key Responsibilities-
Deliver Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Literacy support through workshops and one-to-one sessions.

Support learners to achieve Essential Skills qualifications and meet programme framework requirements.

Register, conduct and invigilate controlled tasks in accordance with awarding body requirements.

Prepare, deliver and assess learning activities, including marking and participation in standardisation events.

Engage with learners and employers to support qualification achievement and skills development.

Maintain high standards of quality in line with internal and external quality assurance requirements.

Maintain accurate records of assessment activities and learner progress.

Ensure learner documentation is completed accurately and within required timescales.

Deliver high-quality training programmes to allocated learners and clients.

Travel throughout North Wales to assess and support learners in their workplaces.

Contribute to the planning, monitoring and achievement of performance targets.

Experience of working within Work-Based Learning and knowledge of awarding body practices.

Experience delivering Essential Skills qualifications.

Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Willingness to undertake a DBS check and register with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).

Relevant training experience and a recognised teaching or assessing qualification, such as A1 Assessor Award, TAQA, CAVA or equivalent.
