Site based, commutable from Plymouth, Saltash, Southway, Ivybridge, Tavistock and surrounding areas.

Are you a Labourer, Handyperson or similar with practicable DIY experience looking for a secure, hands-on role with great work-life balance?

Do you have excellent practical skills with general DIY, and want to utilise this skillset working as part of a close knit team where you can get on-the job training in all aspects of estates maintenance, with the ability to continue your progression in future?

The role is varied and hands-on, with responsibility for everything from minor repairs and planned maintenance through to managing contractors, carrying out site inspections and ensuring the premises are safe, secure and well maintained.

This is a great opportunity for someone from a Site Management, Caretaking, Maintenance, DIY or trade background who enjoys being hands-on, taking ownership and being the person others rely on to keep a site running smoothly.

The Role:

* Take responsibility for the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the school site
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance and minor repairs
* Manage contractors and act as the primary point of contact for external works
* Carry out general handyperson and grounds maintenance duties
* Work independently while liaising closely with school leadership and staff
*Monday to Friday 30 Hour Working Week

The Person:

* Previous experience in Caretaking, Maintenance, DIY, Manual Labour or a relevant trade
* Good practical maintenance skills
* Confident managing contractors and working independently
* Good understanding of Health & Safety
* Must live commutable to Plymouth
* Must be able to pass a full DBS check
