We are currently seeking Mobile Fabric Technician to support our operational teams across multiple locations. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled trades professionals looking to develop their career within a global organisation that values safety, innovation, and service excellence.



About the Role

As a Fabric Technician, you will be responsible for delivering planned and reactive building fabric maintenance across client sites, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.



Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out reactive maintenance tasks and repairs within agreed timescales.
  • Undertake basic fabric maintenance including carpentry, flooring, wall coverings, ceilings, and general building repairs.
  • Complete ceiling tile repairs and replacements.
  • Carry out lighting maintenance, lamp replacements, AHU/FCU filter changes, and basic plumbing tasks.
  • Conduct site surveys and assist in producing work requests, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Utilise handheld devices (PDA) to manage work orders, updates, and communications.
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive works, and minor project activities.
  • Build strong working relationships with client representatives and colleagues.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
  • Support additional maintenance and facilities tasks as directed by the Technical Services Manager.


What We're Looking For



Essential

  • Previous experience in a Fabric Technician, Building Maintenance, Carpentry, or similar role.
  • City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent qualification in Carpentry.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety requirements, including COSHH, Risk Assessments, and Working at Height.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage workloads independently.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • IT literacy and experience using mobile devices for work management.


Desirable

  • IOSH and/or NEBOSH Health & Safety qualification.
  • Experience working within commercial or high-profile environments.
  • Multi-skilled maintenance experience.
