Regional Estimator – Solar PV

£40,000 – £45,000 DOE | Home-Based with Site travel | Company Car

ASA Recruitment is working on behalf of a growing renewable energy business to recruit a Regional Estimator.

This is a home-based commercial and technical role supporting Solar PV projects, with responsibility for producing accurate tender costings, working with contractors and helping maintain visibility across the project pipeline.

The position initially has a national remit, with the potential to develop into a defined geographical region as the business continues to grow. 

The Role

You will manage incoming tender and pricing requests, producing accurate costings using established pricing frameworks and estimating software.

Responsibilities will include:

• Producing accurate and timely project costings
• Reviewing tender information and technical drawings
• Applying agreed pricing frameworks, rates and commercial requirements
• Working with standard house types and new-build development information
• Liaising with solar and roofing contractors
• Following up quotations and tracking tender outcomes
• Identifying project start dates and successful contractors
• Maintaining accurate project and pipeline information within the CRM
• Supporting forecasting and wider commercial planning
• Working closely with commercial, design and technical teams
• Managing multiple live quotations and deadlines

What We're Looking For

We're interested in candidates with experience across areas such as:

• Electrical estimating
• Solar PV estimating
• Electrical contracting
• Residential construction
• New-build housing
• Roofing or renewable energy

An electrical background and previous Solar PV knowledge would be advantageous, although training on the company's systems and software will be provided. 

You should be comfortable interpreting drawings and numerical information, managing multiple quotations and speaking directly with contractors to understand tender progress.

Experience within the residential new-build supply chain would be particularly valuable.
