A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Estimator to relocate to the channel islands and join an established construction business delivering a strong pipeline of high-value projects across the island.

As Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders across a range of construction projects, working closely with the commercial and operational teams from initial enquiry through to submission.

You will be involved in:
  • Preparing detailed estimates and tenders from drawings, specifications and other project information
  • Producing accurate take-offs, bills of quantities and cost plans
  • Obtaining and assessing subcontractor and supplier quotations
  • Identifying risks, opportunities and potential cost savings
  • Liaising with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
  • Supporting the commercial team through the tender and pre-construction process
  • Ensuring tenders are commercially competitive while maintaining accuracy and profitability
The ideal candidate will have solid estimating experience within the construction industry and be confident working independently across multiple tenders.

You will ideally have:
  • Proven experience as an Estimator within main contracting or a similar construction environment
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and costs
  • The ability to interpret drawings, specifications and tender documentation
  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience pricing projects from enquiry through to tender submission
  • A proactive and organised approach
