Estimator - Bolton

We're recruiting on behalf of Acoustic Solutions, a specialist contractor based in Bolton, for an organised and motivated Estimator to join their expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with estimating experience, ideally within construction or a related industry, who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and delivering accurate quotations for a variety of projects.

The Role

As a Estimator, you will support the commercial team by preparing accurate cost estimates and quotations for acoustic solutions across a range of commercial and residential projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation

  • Preparing accurate cost estimates and quotations

  • Liaising with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain competitive pricing

  • Assisting with the preparation and submission of tenders

  • Updating estimates as project requirements change

  • Maintaining accurate project records and documentation

  • Working closely with the sales, design and project teams to ensure smooth project delivery

  • Building strong relationships with clients, suppliers and contractors

About You

We're looking for someone who is organised, detail-oriented and eager to develop their career within a specialist construction business.

Ideally, you'll have:

  • Previous experience in an Estimator or Junior Estimator role

  • Experience within the construction industry (preferred)

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • The ability to prioritise and work to deadlines

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Good organisational and time management skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Teams

  • Experience using estimating software would be advantageous

  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs, including English and Maths
