Our client is a leading structural steel specialist, delivering projects ranging from simple building frames to complex steel structures across the UK and Europe. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an Estimator to join their busy commercial team.

The Role

As Estimator, you'll be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and managing the tender process for a variety of structural steel projects. Working closely with clients, suppliers and internal departments, you'll help secure new business while ensuring projects are delivered in line with client requirements and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates from client specifications and technical drawings.

Manage enquiries and tender submissions from initial receipt through to quotation.

Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.

Liaise with clients and internal teams throughout the estimating process.

Build and maintain strong customer relationships.

Support business development activities and identify new opportunities.

Ensure all quotations are commercially competitive and technically compliant.

About You

Previous experience in structural steel; estimating, quantity surveying or similar commercial role.

Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Understanding of UK building regulations, SCI/BCSA standards and fabrication processes would be beneficial.

Salary & Benefits

£40,000 - £60,000 DOE

Monday to Thursday: 8:30am - 5:00pm

Friday: 8:30am - 3:45pm
