As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a vital role in ensuring examinations are conducted fairly, efficiently, and in full compliance with examination board regulations.

The Role
Working alongside Exams Officers and school staff, you will help create a calm, organised, and secure examination environment where students can perform to the best of their abilities.
Your duties will include supervising examinations, ensuring all procedures are followed correctly, maintaining exam security, and providing professional support to candidates throughout the examination process.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare examination rooms in accordance with awarding body regulations and school procedures.
• Set out and distribute examination papers, answer booklets, and relevant materials.
• Register candidates and verify attendance before examinations commence.
• Read and follow examination instructions accurately and confidently.
• Maintain a quiet, secure, and controlled examination environment at all times.
• Observe candidates throughout examinations, ensuring compliance with examination regulations.
• Respond professionally to candidate queries while adhering to examination guidelines.
• Report any irregularities, incidents, or breaches of exam conditions promptly.
• Collect, count, and securely return examination papers and materials at the conclusion of exams.
• Assist students requiring access arrangements where directed by the Exams Officer.
• Work collaboratively with fellow invigilators and school staff to ensure examinations run smoothly.
