Executive Assistant to CEO
£40,000 – £45,000 | Hybrid | UK Travel
This is not your typical Executive Assistant role.
We’re looking for an experienced EA who can operate confidently alongside the CEO of a complex, multi-layered and geographically dispersed business.
You’ll be working at pace, across multiple businesses and locations, acting as a trusted extension of the CEO and helping ensure his time, priorities and commitments are managed brilliantly.
The role
You’ll take ownership of a busy and constantly changing diary, coordinate meetings and travel across the UK, prepare for key meetings and ensure actions and priorities don’t get lost in the day-to-day.
There will be regular interaction with senior leaders across the Group, so you’ll need to be comfortable communicating at Executive and Board level, while also being happy getting stuck into the practical detail when required.
The CEO travels regularly between Group locations, so this role requires someone who can work flexibly around the needs of the business rather than operating within a rigid 9–5 structure.
You will ideally have:
-
Strong experience supporting a CEO, Managing Director or equivalent senior executive
-
Experience within a complex, multi-site, multi-company or international organisation
-
Exceptional diary, travel and meeting management skills
-
The confidence to manage competing priorities and make judgement calls independently
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills
-
A proactive approach. You anticipate what is needed rather than waiting to be asked
-
Complete discretion when dealing with confidential and commercially sensitive information
-
Flexibility to travel to UK sites when required
Experience working across different countries, cultures or time zones would be particularly useful.
French or German language skills would be a real bonus, although they are not essential.
Location
The role is hybrid, with an expectation of being on-site approximately two days per week, aligned to the CEO and business requirements.
We are particularly interested in candidates located within sensible travelling distance of Liverpool/Runcorn, Doncaster/Goole or London, although flexibility is more important than being tied to one particular office.
There will also be travel to other UK sites and occasional international travel.
Salary
Circa £40,000 – £45,000, depending on experience.
This is a great opportunity for an EA who enjoys being at the centre of a fast-moving business and wants a role where they can build a genuinely trusted working relationship with the CEO.
If your background includes supporting a senior leader within a complex, multi-layered organisation, we'd love to hear from you.
