Experience 7.5 ton Driver

Gotpeople are currently seeking an experienced 7.5-tonne Delivery Driver for ad hoc day deliveries based in Hatfield.

The Role

As a 7.5-tonne Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods, ensuring exceptional customer service at all times. The role includes deliveries within and around London and involves manual handling. Occasionally, you may be required to work as part of a two-person team.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver goods safely and efficiently to customers
• Assist with unloading goods
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly
• Ensure all deliveries adhere to company procedures
• Maintain a high standard of customer service when interacting with clients
• Comply with all driver hours and road safety regulations
• Maintain clear communication throughout the day

Driver Requirements

• Valid 7.5-tonne (Category C1) licence
• Possession of a full CPC and digital tachograph card
• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence (excluding DR, DD or IN endorsements)
• Comfortable with manual handling and lifting bulky items
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and punctual with delivery schedules
• Must provide appropriate PPE (high-visibility clothing and safety boots)

Pay & Benefits

• £15.00 per hour PAYE | £18.00 per hour PAYE via Umbrella
• Minimum of 8 hours guaranteed pay per shift
• Monday to Friday day shifts
• Free on-site parking
