Shift: 4 on 4 off (2 Days / 2 Nights)
Overtime: Paid at 1.25x
We're currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer to join an FMCG manufacturing business in Cheshire.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established engineering team within a fast-paced production environment where you'll play a key role in maintaining plant reliability, reducing downtime and driving continuous improvement.
The Role As a Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Fault finding and breakdown repairs across production and site services equipment
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults
- Supporting continuous improvement and root cause analysis activities
- Assisting with capital projects and site improvement initiatives
- Ensuring compliance with statutory checks, GMP and site procedures
- Maintaining engineering stores and technical documentation
- Supporting and coaching colleagues on maintenance best practice
- Delivering effective shift handovers and engineering communication
- Contributing towards site KPIs including Safety, Quality, Performance and Service
Requirements
- Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship
- Level 3 Engineering Qualification (minimum)
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment
- Proactive approach with excellent problem-solving abilities
