Rate: Negotiable depending on experience
Duration: Long-term work for the right candidates
Hours Paid per Day: TBC

Job Description

This is an excellent long-term opportunity for 4 experienced Steel Fixers to join a busy commercial construction project in Hinckley.

The project is looking for Steel Fixers who are experienced, reliable and able to work independently. Candidates who perform well and get on with the site team will have the opportunity to remain on the project long term.

Applicants must be available to start tomorrow.

Key Duties

Works will include:

• Fixing reinforcement steel and rebar
• Cutting, bending and tying steel reinforcement
• Installing reinforcement mesh
• Working from drawings and specifications
• Fixing steel for foundations, slabs and other reinforced concrete works
• Ensuring reinforcement is positioned and secured correctly
• Working alongside shuttering carpenters and other trades
• General associated steel fixing duties
• Following site RAMS and Health & Safety procedures

Requirements

Applicants must have:

• Valid CSCS card relevant to Steel Fixing
• Strong previous experience as a Steel Fixer
• Previous experience working on commercial construction projects
• Ability to read and work from drawings
• Confident carrying out steel fixing duties with minimal supervision
• Full PPE
• Reliable transport to Hinckley
• Recent relevant references
• Availability to start tomorrow
• Ability to commit to long-term work
