Job Description:

Extrusion Setter / Crosshead Extrusion Setter

Salary: £14.00 – £17.50 per hour, inclusive of shift allowance, depending on experience and shift pattern

We are currently recruiting for experienced Extrusion Setters to join a manufacturing environment. We are looking for candidates with strong hands-on experience in co-extrusion, particularly those with a background in wire coating or hose/pipe extrusion.

The Role

As an Extrusion Setter, you will be responsible for setting up, running and supporting extrusion production lines, ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

The role will involve:

• Setting up and preparing extrusion production lines for manufacture
• Operating and monitoring extrusion machinery throughout production
• Setting and adjusting machinery to achieve the required product specifications
• Packing and preparing finished products for production and dispatch
• Carrying out quality checks during production
• Identifying and resolving basic production and process issues
• Working to production targets and maintaining high quality standards
• Following all health & safety, quality and production procedures
• Working as part of a team while also being able to work independently

Essential Experience

We are specifically looking for candidates with:

• Previous experience working as an Extrusion Setter
• Strong co-extrusion experience
• Experience in wire coating and/or hose/pipe extrusion
• Hands-on experience working with materials such as PVC, Polyurethane, Megalon and Nylon
• Experience setting up and packing production lines
• A good understanding of extrusion processes and production requirements
• A strong focus on quality, safety and productivity

Hours & Shifts

A number of shift patterns are available, including:

• Days: Monday–Thursday, 6am–6pm
• Days: Monday–Thursday, 7am–7pm
• Rotating shifts: combination of days and nights, including 6am–6pm and 6pm–6am shifts

Weekly hours will vary depending on the position and shift pattern, with opportunities for both 39-hour and 48-hour working weeks.

Pay

£14.00 – £17.50 per hour, inclusive of applicable shift allowance, depending on experience and the shift pattern worked.
