Facilities Maintenance Engineer required by a leading advanced manufacturing business based in Tewkesbury. The successful Facilities Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of site facilities, infrastructure, utilities, and building services.
This is a key role, focused on ensuring operational continuity, maintaining compliance, driving infrastructure improvements, and supporting facility-related projects.
Main Duties Facilities Maintenance Engineer
- Manage and maintain site utilities and infrastructure, including electrical distribution, HVAC, compressed air, chilled water, extraction, and process support systems.
- Develop and oversee preventative and reactive maintenance programmes to maximise reliability and minimise downtime.
- Lead reactive maintenance activities and coordinate effective corrective actions.
- Manage contractors, including permits to work, RAMS reviews, inductions, and performance monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with statutory inspections, certification requirements, and health, safety, and environmental legislation.
- Support facility improvement projects, utility upgrades, equipment installations, and infrastructure developments.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, efficiency, energy performance, and cost reduction.
- Maintain maintenance records, compliance documentation, and asset management systems.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, quality, and HSE teams to support business objectives.
- Support audits, emergency response planning, and business continuity activities.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: Facilities Maintenance Engineer
- HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, or Facilities Engineering (or equivalent).
- Proven facilities engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical building services.
- Experience managing contractors, maintenance systems, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent fault-finding, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.
- A proactive approach to health, safety, and continuous improvement.
