Salary: £32,452.50 FTE, including market supplement (pro rata: £19,471.50 actual per annum)

Location: HMP Belmarsh

Working pattern: Part time, permanent — 22.5 hours per week, on a rota including regular weekend work

Role Overview

Pact is looking for a Family Support Team Manager (known internally as a Family Engagement Manager) to lead our visitor centre services at HMP Belmarsh. This is a hands-on management role at the heart of family engagement work, overseeing the prison's booking line, family visit catering, children's play sessions, and a range of family-focused interventions. You'll also support families' access to secure video visits and work closely with our subcontractors in the Visits Centre.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Managing the visitor centre provision at HMP Belmarsh
  • Overseeing the prison's booking line service
  • Coordinating family visit catering services
  • Facilitating play sessions for children during family visits
  • Delivering family-focused interventions, including homework clubs, special visits and themed family days
  • Supporting families' access to secure video visits
  • Coordinating with subcontractors operating in the Visits Centre
 
What You'll Bring
  • Demonstrable ability to coordinate a broad range of services
  • Experience of working with families in a challenging multi-agency environment, ideally involving offenders and/or their families
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a demanding workload
  • Ability to contribute to the planning and development of Pact's family work
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build partnerships across agencie

Additional Information

This is a part-time, permanent post working 22.5 hours per week on a rota that includes regular weekend work.
