As a Laminator, you will be responsible for manufacturing carbon fibre products to demanding quality standards while ensuring production schedules, health & safety requirements and output expectations are consistently achieved.
The Laminator will be responsible for:
- Manufacturing high-quality carbon fibre products consistently and safely.
- Ensuring finished products conform to required quality standards.
- Working with resins, fibreglass and carbon fibre layup processes.
- Following all safe systems of work and using the correct PPE.
- Reporting health & safety improvements and near misses.
- Achieving weekly production schedules and maintaining high output standards.
- Monitoring and maintaining manufacturing machinery and equipment.
- Ensuring sufficient materials are available across the shop floor and reporting potential shortages.
- Completing weekly safety checks.
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards using 6S principles.
- Supporting cross-training across manufacturing processes.
- Actively participating in continuous improvement activities.
- Supporting and training other members of the manufacturing team where required.
- Previous experience working with resins, fibreglass and carbon fibre layup.
- Experience maintaining and improving health & safety within the workplace.
- A strong team-working ethic.
- The ability to plan and schedule their own workload.
- A calm and focused approach when working under pressure.
- The ability to work under their own initiative with minimal supervision.
- A flexible approach to working hours and changing production demands.
- A willingness to support tasks outside their normal scope when required.
