Field Service Engineer – Pumps & Water - Field Based
Beautiful Recruitment
Are you an experienced Field Service Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Pump Engineer, Water Engineer or Maintenance Engineer looking for your next challenge?
Our client is expanding and is looking for a hands-on Pump Service Engineer to join their team, providing installation, maintenance, fault-finding and repair services across a range of pumping and water systems.
This is a varied field-based role where you'll visit customer sites, diagnose technical problems, carry out planned and reactive maintenance and ensure essential pumping equipment operates safely and efficiently.
Experience working specifically with pumps is ideal, but we're also interested in engineers with strong mechanical, electrical, water, wastewater or field-service experience who have the technical ability and enthusiasm to develop their pump expertise.
You'll work across commercial and industrial customer sites, including clean and foul water pump stations and treatment plants. No two days are likely to be the same, and you'll have the opportunity to build your experience across a broad range of equipment and applications.
The Role
As a Pump Service Engineer, you'll be responsible for attending customer sites to install, service, maintain and repair pumping equipment and associated systems.
You'll carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns, using your technical and fault-finding skills to identify problems and get equipment back up and running.
You'll also undertake installation and commissioning work, complete service reports and communicate directly with customers to explain work carried out and any further action required.
The role is ideal for someone who enjoys being out on site, solving technical problems and working independently while being part of a wider engineering team.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll travel to customer sites to carry out:
- Installation and commissioning of pumps and associated equipment
- Planned preventative maintenance
- Reactive maintenance and breakdown repairs
- Fault finding and diagnosis
- Pump servicing and refurbishment
- Inspection and testing
- Site surveys and technical assessments
- Completion of service reports and relevant documentation
You'll work with customers across the water, wastewater, commercial and industrial sectors, building strong relationships and delivering a professional service.
