Ready to take the next exciting step in your office career? This growing Welwyn Garden City business has seen exceptional growth in both team size and turnover, and they are now looking for a bright, organised and ambitious Finance and Office Assistant to join their busy, supportive team.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone looking for their second job who already has around a year of office experience and is ready to grow their skills in finance, administration and customer support. If you are accurate, proactive and keen to learn, full training will be provided to help you succeed.
Reporting to the Finance and Administration Manager, you will support the Finance Team and work closely with colleagues across the business. You will get hands-on experience across sales ledger, purchase ledger, invoicing, credit control, client portals and general office administration, making this a fantastic platform for someone who wants to build confidence and develop a career in finance.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Helping to produce monthly recurring contract invoices accurately and on time
- Supporting the creation of non-contract invoices and keeping processes moving smoothly
- Monitoring and helping to manage the finance inbox, responding to queries and escalating where needed
- Updating Service Tracker statuses to support accurate and timely invoicing after service delivery
- Issuing and uploading insurance and accreditation certificates to SharePoint
- Uploading invoices and supporting documents to external client portals
- Assisting with statements, credit control and follow-up communications
- Helping to resolve invoice queries quickly, professionally and accurately
- Supporting bought ledger activity, including supplier queries
- Assisting with company credit card reconciliations
- Getting involved in wider office administration, quality checks and service delivery support as required
What We’re Looking For
- A confident communicator with a friendly, professional approach
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in getting things right
- A proactive team player who is also happy working independently
- Good MS Office skills and confidence using systems
- CRM or accounting software knowledge would be a bonus, but it is not essential as full training will be given

Hours - 8:00 – 16:30
