Finance Business Partner in Hatfield, Hertfordshire

A Finance Business Partner is sought to join an innovative business in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, providing senior financial leadership and insight to support strategic decision-making and business performance.

The Finance Business Partner, Hatfield, Hertfordshire, will take ownership of management reporting, financial planning and performance analysis, working closely with senior stakeholders to drive financial discipline and commercial outcomes.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead the preparation and ownership of monthly management accounts, including financial analysis and performance commentary
• Maintain balance sheet integrity through reconciliations, controls and review
• Own stock valuation, reconciliation, provisioning and variance investigation processes
• Support budgeting, forecasting and re-forecasting alongside the Finance Manager and senior stakeholders
• Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital, providing insight and recommendations
• Support external audits, VAT returns, statutory reporting and regulatory submissions
• Maintain and improve financial controls and processes, support strategic initiatives, and provide cover for the Finance Manager when required

The Finance Business Partner, Hatfield, Hertfordshire, will have the following key skills:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), finalist or qualified by experience (QBE)
• Significant experience in senior management accounting or a strategic finance role, with ownership of management accounts and financial planning
• Experience in stock valuation, standard costing, stock provisioning and variance analysis
• Strong commercial awareness, strategic thinking and the confidence to challenge and support senior stakeholders
• Excellent analytical, communication and relationship-building skills, with a high level of integrity, ownership and professionalism
