Finance Business Partner

RM Recruit is partnering with an excellent organisation based in the Birmingham area to recruit a Finance & Business Partner on a 6-month fixed-term contract that carries a strong potential to go permanent.

Our client is embarking on a major transformation journey, which includes a brand-new Sage Intacct ERP rollout and upcoming CRM upgrades. The hiring manager is seeking a solid second-in-command to help drive these critical changes, transition management accounts away from Excel, and inject robust financial principles into the process. This is a high-profile, deeply rewarding role where your common sense and transformation mindset will directly shape the future of the organisation.

In this role, you will act as the critical right-hand support to the finance lead, steering the business through early-stage system implementations. You will transition historic management accounts from manual Excel processes into automated reports and bridge the gap between finance and operations. Given the pace of change, you must be prepared to hit the ground running from week one, establishing quick wins during a the onboarding phase.

The ideal candidate will possess absolute commercial acumen, and previous exposure to ERP transformations. While candidates who are ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified are preferred, outstanding Qualified by Experience (QBE) professionals with strong commercial backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply.

This position offers exceptional flexibility with no rigid core hours and a hybrid structure requiring just 2 days per week in the Birmingham office. The package includes an competitive salary and a highly lucrative pension scheme, and 28 days holiday plus bank holidays. Because of the vast amount of change on the horizon, this role is highly likely to transition into a permanent position.
