Key Responsibilities:
As the Accounts/Finance Manager, you will be responsible for a variety of exciting tasks, including:
- Uploading purchase invoices into Xero with precision.
- Creating payment schedules and processing bi-weekly payments.
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns, including postponed VAT.
- Raising invoices, ensuring correct CIS deductions and VAT rates.
- Reconciling bank and credit accounts while addressing banking queries.
- Liaising with suppliers regarding invoicing, credit limits, and payments.
- Conducting age debtor analysis and managing credit control.
- Keeping Directors informed on the company's financial position through insightful project financials, sales mix analysis, and profit & loss reports.
- Preparing budgets and forecasts to guide the organisation's financial planning.
- Collaborating with external accountants to provide necessary information for annual accounts.
- Working closely with the team to ensure our project management system reflects payments received from clients.
- Managing company expenses by uploading cash receipts and maintaining accurate records.
- Supporting long-term strategic planning with your financial analysis expertise.
Essential Skills:
To excel in this role, you will need:
- AAT Level 4 qualification as a minimum requirement.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
- Proficiency with Xero accounting software.
- Solid experience in preparing and submitting VAT returns.
- A keen attention to detail and excellent arithmetical skills.
