Salary: Up to £55,000

About the Role

A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced Finance Manager to join a growing organisation and take ownership of day-to-day financial operations.

This role will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, month-end processes, budgeting, compliance, and supporting business decision-making through accurate financial analysis. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining strong financial controls while working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the finance function and provide guidance to members of the finance team.
  • Manage the monthly accounting close process, ensuring deadlines are achieved.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate monthly management accounts.
  • Complete and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Produce financial analysis, including variance reporting and performance insights.
  • Maintain effective internal controls and support annual audit activities, working closely with external auditors.
  • Manage daily cash flow, liquidity planning, and working capital activities.
  • Monitor accounts receivable performance and support improvements in collections processes.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and provide regular forecast updates.
  • Maintain awareness of changes to financial regulations, accounting standards, and relevant legislation.

About You

The ideal candidate will be an experienced finance professional with strong technical accounting knowledge and the ability to balance operational responsibilities with strategic financial support.

You will have:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a finance management or senior accounting role.
  • An ACCA or CIMA qualification, or a degree-level qualification in Accounting and Finance.
  • Strong experience using accounting systems, ideally including Sage 200 or similar platforms.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively to tight deadlines.
  • A hands-on approach, comfortable managing both transactional finance activities and wider business responsibilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
