Financial Controller

Our client is a highly successful, people-focused organisation based in South Manchester with operations across multiple jurisdictions. Having delivered consistent 10% year-on-year growth for the last five years, the business is continuing its expansion and is seeking an ambitious Financial Controller to play a key role in supporting its next phase of growth.

Description

You will take ownership of the group's financial reporting and compliance activities, ensuring all statutory and regulatory obligations are met across multiple territories.

The role will have a strong external reporting focus, with responsibility for consolidating the financial results of a number of subsidiaries and managing relationships with external advisors and auditors across the group's international footprint.

Responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of the annual consolidated financial statements for the group
• Management of statutory accounts across all group entities
• Oversight of annual audits and coordination with external auditors
• Responsibility for corporation tax returns, VAT returns and other compliance reporting
• Preparation and review of group reporting requirements
• Monitoring and managing financial compliance risks across the group
• Leading the year-end reporting process and supporting wider finance projects
• Managing, mentoring and developing a small team
• Supporting the ongoing development and improvement of financial controls, processes and reporting

Profile

• ACA or ACCA Qualified
• 3-5 years' experience in a Financial Controller or similar financial reporting role
• Previous experience within a medium-sized business environment
• Background in a service-led, people-focused organisation
• Experience working within an international or multi-entity group structure
• Strong technical accounting and statutory reporting expertise
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Job Offer
