Financial Query and Billing Assistant (6-Month Contract)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
Location: Hybrid Working Available

Search are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Financial Query and Billing Assistant to join a growing business in Halifax on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

In this role, you will investigate and resolve customer and internal financial queries, including invoice disputes, payment issues, purchase orders, and credit requests. You'll work closely with teams across the business to ensure queries are handled accurately, efficiently, and with excellent customer service.



Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve invoice and payment queries.
  • Manage purchase order and invoicing issues.
  • Review and process credit requests.
  • Maintain accurate records and case updates.
  • Respond to queries within agreed timescales.
  • Liaise with departments across the business to achieve resolutions.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service at all times.


What You'll Need

  • Previous customer service or query resolution experience.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and take ownership of issues.


Desirable

  • Experience in finance, billing, credit control, or dispute resolution.
  • Experience using CRM or case management systems.

This is a great opportunity, paying £27,000 and is great for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working collaboratively, and making a real difference to the customer experience.
