Experience:
- Proven track record delivering refurbishment, fit-out and new-build projects valued between £2m-£5m
- Previous experience successfully delivering commercial, leisure, hospitality, heritage or mixed-use developments, with responsibility for managing finishing trades, snagging and handover activities
Key Skills:
- Extensive health & safety knowledge
- Competent IT and reporting software skills
- Proven ability to lead and coordinate site teams
- Effective communication skills, verbal and written
- Ability to organise and manage finishing programmes
- Strong subcontractor management and coordination skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and quality control standards
- Solid understanding of building regulations and quality standards
- Strong knowledge of refurbishment, fit-out and finishing processes

The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Finishing Foreman to support the delivery of a £5m mixed-use redevelopment project incorporating leisure, hospitality and commercial facilities. You will oversee finishing trades, manage snagging and de-snagging activities, coordinate subcontractors, ensure health and safety compliance, and drive the project through to successful handover. This role requires a hands-on individual with proven experience delivering high-quality refurbishment, fit-out or redevelopment projects to programme, quality and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site inductions and toolbox talks
- Attend and contribute to routine site progress meetings
- Report regularly and consistently to the Project Manager
- Coordinate and supervise finishing trades and subcontractors
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and site management teams
- Identify and mitigate risks that may impact programme, quality or safety
- Maintain accurate quality inspections, snagging records and progress reports
- Maintain a safe working environment and enforce health & safety compliance
- Monitor progress against programme and address any delays or quality issues
- Manage project handovers, ensuring all defects are rectified in a timely manner
- Monitor snagging and de-snagging activities to ensure quality standards are achieved
- Support the successful delivery of the project to programme, quality and client expectations
- Carry out quality inspections and ensure works are completed in accordance with specifications
