Job Title: Fire Alarm Engineer

Location:North and East London

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Engineer to handle servicing, maintenance, and installation works across commercial and residential sites. You will ensure all fire detection and life safety systems are operating efficiently and in full compliance with current UK safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Routine servicing, fault finding, and maintenance of fire alarm and life safety systems.

  • Carrying out small works, installations, and commissioning of new systems.

  • Ensuring all work complies with BS 5839 standards.

  • Completing digital service sheets, certificates, and job reports accurately.

  • Participating in an on-call rota for emergency call-outs (if required).

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Engineer (service, maintenance, or commissioning).

  • Strong working knowledge of addressable and conventional fire systems (e.g., Advanced, Morley, Kentec, Gent).

  • FIA units or relevant electrical qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3) preferred.

  • Valid CSCS/ECS card.

  • Full UK driving licence.
