Fire Safety Consultant in Bristol, Gloucestershire

An established and expanding fire safety consultancy is looking for a capable Fire Consultant to support projects across Bristol and the wider South West.

The successful Fire Consultant will work on a diverse range of residential, commercial and mixed-use developments, providing technical fire safety advice from early design through to completion.

The Fire Consultant will take responsibility for delivering clear, practical fire safety advice while working closely with clients, design teams and contractors.

Typical duties will include:

• Preparing fire strategies and technical reports

• Carrying out site inspections and fire safety assessments

• Reviewing architectural drawings and design information

• Advising on means of escape, compartmentation and fire resistance

• Supporting compliance with Building Regulations and current fire safety guidance

• Liaising with architects, developers, contractors and building owners

• Identifying fire safety risks and recommending suitable solutions

• Supporting projects through design, construction and occupation

The successful Fire Consultant will ideally have:

• Previous experience within fire safety, fire engineering or a related consultancy environment

• A relevant fire, engineering or construction qualification

• Good knowledge of UK fire safety legislation and Building Regulations

• Experience producing fire strategies or technical fire safety reports

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Membership of the IFE or another relevant professional body would be beneficial

• A full UK driving licence

£45,000 - £55,000
