Fire Safety Delivery Manager

Location: Home Based – South East England
Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Working Arrangement: Home Based with regular site visits

PCR are currently recruiting for an experienced Fire Safety Delivery Manager to join an established organisation responsible for the delivery of fire safety and building safety projects across its property portfolio.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Fire Safety Project Manager, Building Safety Manager or Project Manager with a strong background in fire safety remediation and residential property.

The position offers a home-based working arrangement, with regular travel required to sites across the relevant property portfolio. The role provides the flexibility of working from home while maintaining a strong site presence to ensure projects are delivered safely, effectively and to the required standards.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing fire safety projects from initial planning and mobilisation through to completion, ensuring that works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the delivery of fire safety projects and remediation programmes
  • Developing and maintaining project programmes, delivery plans and budgets
  • Managing contractors, consultants and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle
  • Monitoring progress, quality, costs and contractual performance
  • Undertaking regular site visits and inspections to monitor works and ensure compliance with specifications
  • Identifying defects, risks and areas of non-compliance and ensuring appropriate corrective action
  • Managing works arising from Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs)
  • Overseeing fire safety works including fire doors, compartmentation, fire stopping and passive/active fire protection
  • Supporting procurement, tendering and contractor mobilisation
  • Managing project budgets, cost control, forecasting and financial reporting
  • Ensuring projects comply with relevant fire and building safety legislation and industry standards
  • Maintaining accurate project, compliance and handover information
  • Managing risks and implementing appropriate mitigation strategies
  • Working closely with internal teams, contractors, consultants and other stakeholders
  • Managing communication with residents where works are undertaken within occupied properties
  • Supporting programme reporting, governance and assurance requirements
  • Ensuring health and safety requirements are maintained throughout project delivery

About You

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience delivering fire safety, building safety or remediation projects, ideally within residential property, construction or asset management.

You will ideally have experience in:

  • Fire safety remediation programmes
  • Fire doors and fire door replacement
  • Fire stopping and compartmentation
  • Passive and active fire protection
  • Fire Risk Assessments and remedial actions
  • Contractor and supplier management
  • Project and programme management
  • Procurement and contract management
  • Budget management and cost control
  • Site inspections and quality assurance
  • Risk, compliance and defect management
  • Working within occupied residential properties

A good understanding of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, Building Safety Act 2022 and CDM requirements is expected.

A relevant qualification in Fire Safety, Construction, Building Surveying, Project Management or a related discipline would be advantageous.

Qualifications such as IFE, NEBOSH Fire, APM, PRINCE2, RICS or CIOB would be desirable but are not essential where the candidate can demonstrate strong relevant experience.

Working Arrangement

This is a home-based position, providing the flexibility to work remotely while requiring regular visits to properties and project sites.

The successful candidate will need to be comfortable travelling to sites as required, carrying out inspections, meeting contractors and stakeholders, and maintaining oversight of project delivery.

The Opportunity
