Fleet Operational Specialist in Stafford, Staffordshire

Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Fleet Operational Specialist on a 10 Month Contract based in Stafford.

Role Summary

A hands-on delivery specialist to drive operational excellence across our vehicle programs, focused on designing and rolling out a standardised global fleet policy framework. You'll own execution, not just planning.

Responsibilities

• Policy refresh: Define a global fleet policy template, then review, localise and publish it across all operating locations.
• Operational delivery: Be the "boots on the ground" for fleet transformation, handling technical writing, impact analysis and regional transition tasks.
• Cross-functional partnering: Work directly with Labour Relations, Legal, EHS, Sourcing, C&B and Fleet Operations so policies are legally sound and operationally viable.
• AI-enabled workflow: Use AI tools to speed up policy drafting, data synthesis and document review.
• Stakeholder engagement: Navigate unionised workforces and works councils, ensuring changes comply with local labour law and collective bargaining agreements.

Requirements

• A "doer" with a track record of delivering hands-on rather than managing others' work.
• Proven experience working across Labour Relations, Legal, EHS and C&B.
• Practical experience implementing operational change in unionised environments and engaging works councils.
• Mandatory experience using AI tools to streamline documentation, research and project execution.
• Ability to balance global mandates with local realities in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting.
• Relevant background in fleet management, global operations or corporate policy execution.
