A specialist engineering business in the Bidford area is seeking a skilled Flight Case Builder to support the production of high quality, precision‑engineered products used across a range of technical applications. Working within a busy manufacturing environment, you’ll play a key role in building, assembling and finishing bespoke flight cases and related products to a consistently high standard.

Offered as a permanent contract, the position of Flight Case Builder is a full-time role (Monday to Friday) with competitive salary, dependent upon experience and immediate start available. Ideal candidate would possess previous experience in case building, fabrication or similar hands‑on manufacturing roles.

Duties required of Flight Case Builder:

  • Build flight cases from CNC routed panels, cutting extrusion using mitre saws and assembling using rivets
  • Measure and cut extrusion lengths accurately to minimise waste
  • Assemble a wide variety of case designs, from simple foam lined boxes to complex builds incorporating screens, wiring and appliances
  • Interpret and understand technical drawings and specifications
  • Carry out self-checks and quality inspections throughout the build process
  • Assist with additional tasks including assembly of exhibition walling, bonded fasteners, machined components and packing
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment

Skills and attributes required by Flight Case Builder:

  • Proven experience in a similar fabrication, assembly or case building role
  • Strong proficiency with hand tools, power tools and mitre saws (essential)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately
  • High attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Experience working to high quality standards in a production environment
  • Flexible and able to move between tasks as required
  • Positive “can do” attitude and strong team ethic
  • Basic electrical knowledge (e.g., installing TVs or appliances into cases) advantageous

Location: Bidford‑on‑Avon, Warwickshire
Hours: Monday–Thursday, 8am–5pm; Fridays 8am–12pm or optional 8am–5pm
Salary: £12.75 per hour
