Forklift Truck Driver (Counterbalance) – Temp to Perm

Location: Gateshead 
Pay Rate: £12.91 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

We're recruiting experienced Counterbalance Forklift Truck Drivers to join a well-established manufacturing and distribution business in Peterlee. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity, offering long-term career prospects for the right candidates.

Shift Patterns

You will work on a rotating shift pattern:

  • Early Shift: Monday to Thursday, 6:30am – 4:30pm
  • Back Shift: Monday to Thursday, 12:30pm – 10:30pm

Enjoy a three-day weekend every week, with Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays off.

The Role
  • Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently.
  • Loading and unloading deliveries.
  • Moving stock throughout the warehouse and production areas.
  • Supporting warehouse and production operations.
  • Carrying out general housekeeping and following all health and safety procedures.
What We're Looking For
  • A valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence (RTITB or equivalent).
  • Previous experience operating a Counterbalance FLT.
  • Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
  • A reliable, punctual and safety-conscious approach.
