FLT Driver / General Labourer in Rotherham

Location: Rotherham  (S60)
Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
Contract: Temporary

Are you an experienced FLT Driver who doesn't mind getting stuck in with hands-on, physical work?

We are currently recruiting for an FLT Driver / General Labourer to join a busy engineering and manufacturing environment in Rotherham. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for consistent weekday hours, an immediate opportunity and a competitive hourly rate of £15.00.

This is a varied, hands-on role where you will support the day-to-day running of the site, helping to move materials, keep work areas clean and tidy, and assist with general labouring duties.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating a forklift truck to move and transport materials around the site.

• Loading, unloading and handling materials safely.

• Carrying out general labouring duties to support the wider team.

• Moving and positioning materials around the working area.

• Sweeping, cleaning and maintaining a tidy working environment.

• Keeping walkways and work areas clear of obstructions.

• Following all site health and safety procedures.

To be considered for this FLT Driver / Labourer position, you must have:

• A valid, in-date FLT licence.

• Previous experience operating a forklift truck within an industrial, engineering or manufacturing environment.

• Experience moving and handling materials.

• A willingness to undertake physical, hands-on labouring and cleaning duties.

• A reliable and hardworking approach to work.

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Important: This is not a purely forklift-based position. The successful candidate will spend time carrying out general labouring, sweeping, cleaning and manual handling duties alongside operating the FLT. If you are only looking for a driving role, this position is unlikely to be suitable.

• £15.00 per hour.

• Monday to Friday working pattern.

• Consistent 8am–4pm shifts.

• No weekend working.

• Temporary opportunity with an immediate requirement.

If you hold a valid FLT licence, are comfortable with physical labouring work and are available to start immediately, we would love to hear from you.
