Supply Heroes are recruiting on behalf of a successful and high-achieving secondary school in Stratford-upon-Avon for a Food & Nutrition Teacher to cover a maternity leave on a full-time basis until March 2027.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed teacher to join a well-established department within a supportive school environment. The successful candidate will deliver engaging Food & Nutrition lessons and inspire students to develop both practical and theoretical knowledge of the subject.

The school welcomes applications from qualified Food & Nutrition Teachers as well as Science Teachers who are willing and confident to teach Food & Nutrition at GCSE level.

The Role

As a Food & Nutrition Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver high-quality Food & Nutrition lessons
• Teach Food & Nutrition to GCSE level
• Assess, monitor and support student progress
• Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school

Essential Criteria

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching Food & Nutrition or Food Technology
• Ability to teach Food & Nutrition at GCSE level

Alternatively:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Science
• Willingness and confidence to teach Food & Nutrition
• Strong classroom management skills
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
