Food Technology & D&T Teacher Opportunities

Tradewind Recruitment

Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking to connect with Food Technology and Design & Technology Teachers across Warrington, Wigan, St Helens and the surrounding areas ahead of the new academic year.

We work closely with a wide network of secondary schools and academies, supporting them with teachers across a range of D&T specialisms. As demand for specialist practical subjects can fluctuate throughout the academic year, we're keen to speak with teachers who are looking for their next opportunity, whether that is a long-term placement, supply teaching or a permanent position.

This advertisement is intended to build our network of Food Technology and Design & Technology teachers for current and upcoming opportunities with our partner schools.

What opportunities could be available?

Depending on your specialism and experience, we may be able to support you with opportunities including:

  • Food Technology Teacher
  • Design & Technology Teacher
  • Resistant Materials Teacher
  • Product Design Teacher
  • Engineering / Engineering Design Teacher
  • Graphics / Graphic Products Teacher
  • KS3 Design & Technology Teacher
  • Food Preparation & Nutrition Teacher
  • General D&T teaching and cover

We work with schools requiring teachers across KS3, KS4 and KS5, with opportunities potentially available on a full-time, part-time, long-term, temporary or permanent basis.

You don't necessarily need to be available immediately. If you're considering your options for the 2026/27 academic year, we'd still be keen to have a conversation.

Why work with Tradewind Recruitment?

At Tradewind, we take the time to understand what you're looking for rather than simply matching you with the first available vacancy.

We can offer:

Long-term and permanent opportunities - giving you access to positions that can provide greater consistency and career progression.

Flexible supply work - ideal if you're looking for flexibility around your existing commitments.

Ready for your next Food Technology or D&T opportunity?

Whether you're an experienced Food Technology Teacher, a D&T Teacher specialising in Resistant Materials, a Product Design specialist, or an ECT looking to establish yourself in a secondary school, we'd love to hear from you.

Even if you're not actively job hunting, registering with Tradewind can give you access to current and upcoming Food Technology and Design & Technology teaching opportunities that may not be advertised elsewhere.

If you're based in Warrington, Wigan, St Helens or the surrounding areas, get in touch with Anthony Bailey for an informal conversation about what's available.
