Forge Operative

Location: Halesowen

Working Pattern: 4-day working week
Hourly Rate: £14.88 - £15.66 per hour
Bonus: Up to £100 per week after successful completion of probation

We are looking for a Forge Operative to join our clients team on a permanent basis in Halesowen.

This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a 4-day working week, giving you every Friday off while earning a competitive hourly rate. After successfully completing your probation period, you could also earn up to £100 per week in bonuses - imagine the difference that extra £100 could make to your weekly take-home pay!

Key Responsibilities

• Operating forging and pressing equipment safely and efficiently.

• Carrying out forge pressing and associated production activities.

• Using FLT and overhead crane equipment to safely move materials and components.

• Inspecting components throughout the manufacturing process to ensure quality standards are maintained.

• Carrying out hardness testing and accurately recording results.

• Cleaning components and equipment as required.

• Identifying defects, damage or inconsistencies during production.

• Following work instructions, quality procedures and health & safety requirements.

• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.

• Working as part of a team to meet production and quality targets.

Previous forging experience is preferred, but it is not essential.

We would also consider candidates who have experience in:

• Foundry

• Refinery

• Heat treatment

• Other heavy industrial or manufacturing environments

You should be reliable, hardworking and safety-conscious, with good attention to detail and the ability to work around heavy machinery and industrial equipment.

Experience with FLT, overhead cranes, hardness testing, inspection or forge pressing would be highly advantageous.
