Forklift Truck Driver / Telehandler Operator (Rail Engineering)

• Location: Sherburn in Elmet

• Job Type: Guaranteed Hours Contract (Minimum 40 hours/week, PAYE or Umbrella)

• Shift Pattern: 4-on-4-off shift pattern

• Pay Rates:

  • Days: £14.50 / hour

  • Nights: £15.25 / hour

  • Weekends: £16.00 / hour

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Forklift Truck Driver / Telehandler Operator to join a busy rail engineering parts stores facility in Sherburn in Elmet. Working on a structured 4-on-4-off shift pattern, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a dynamic warehouse environment and wants guaranteed weekly hours with competitive shift premiums.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate FLT and telehandler equipment to move materials and lift pallets across the site.

• Assist within the warehouse and stores environment during peak times.

• Work collaboratively with team members and other drivers to ensure efficient material handling.

• Receive, inspect, and process incoming deliveries of equipment and materials.

• Prepare, kit, and stage components to ensure engineering teams are fully equipped before works begin.

• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment in line with site health and safety standards.

Role Requirements

• Valid, in-date FLT Licence with verifiable training evidence/certificate.

• Telehandler experience or ticket is highly advantageous.

• Previous forklift experience within a manufacturing, logistics, or stores environment is preferred.

• A proactive, positive attitude and a willingness to learn new skills.

• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety and ability to adapt to a 4-on-4-off rota.
